WinXP Home Vrs Media Center Pro

I asked here previously about web sites showing the comparisons between
WinXP Home, Pro and Media Center Pro and received some great URL's which
I really appreciated, I have checked them out....I did see the page
comparing WinXP Home and Pro but....nowhere could I find any actual
comparisons between WinXP Home and Media Center Pro showing what you do
get in Media Center Pro and what you don't get in WinXP Home...maybe I'm
just slow but I like to see a side by side comparions, is a page with a
chart available showing this?
Why I ask is that lately it seems that many many new computers seem to
come with Media Center already pre-loaded.
The hype for Media Center seems to geared toward home entertainment
center usage...I'm not into that, so hence my quest to find out what are
the pros and cons for WinXP Home Vrs Media Center as far as an OS.
TIA

I used to be the same way.... a little hardheaded about this. Don't be. It
really is simple. Media Center is XP Pro without the ability to join a
domain (or cache domain credentials). That is really it. There is no hidden
agenda or other hidden limits.

Of course, Media Center comes with the "Media Center" program that is not
available on Pro or Home and that will not load on Pro or Home.

Personally, I hate Media Center. I don't believe there should be one. Why
not just provide the Media Center Program (at cost if necessary) and let the
equipment manufactures provide device drivers like all the other vendors do
already.

In fact, I don't like the idea of a Home and Pro either. It's all about $
and licensing.

My feeling is that there should only be one version of client (XP), period.
