winXP freezing

I am running celeron 2.4, 40gig hd, 512mb ddr. Win Xp
pro.
My system freezes at random. I bought a new bare bones
system. installed new cpu, and everything old (from old
comp). System started freezing at random. I then up
graded from 128mb sdram to 512 ddr. still freezes. I then
bought a new hd. formated ntsf winxp pro. still freezes.
and last up grade was Geforce mx 440. still freezes. I am
at a loss. I read a newsgroup that said to delete a hot
fix but that still doesnt work. Please help, I cant
think of anything else to do!!

Check for error and warning messages in your Event

Viewer, in Administrative Tools, in control panel. Select
applications or system on the left, then double click on
a error message on the right side to view details. Also
be sure to update all major device drivers, and check all
connections so they are pluged in snug.
