Hi.

I would like to use an Acer BT-700 Bluetooth headset with WInXP SP2.
Paing is possible, but I can't see any service.

Does WinXP not provide services for Bluetooth audio devices?

If no, can I download a patch or driver to make this possible?

Thanks,

Does your PC offer Bluetooth signals? I added a TrendMicro bluetooth doogle
to my PC and with the doogle drivers (WINCOMM), it is offering a headset
signal.

Did you ask Acer if drivers were required and did they provide them?

Their drivers were the complete WIDCOMM Bluetooth stack. That's exactly
what I try to avoid ... having 2 Bluetooth stacks installed.

Thanks,

When installing the WIDCOMM Bluetooth stack, everything works fine! My
point is that I try to avoid having 2 Bluetooth stacks installed in
parallel. I'd like to get this WinXP internal Bluetooth stack offering
my the audio services of the SE HBH-600 Bluetooth headset.

The MS BT stack does not support the headset profile (for now, maybe it
will be updated in the future)

So, if you want to use your BT headset, you need a 3rd party BT stack
