I know this is general group but is there anyone who has Win XP and a lexmark x73 printer that is installed and working correctly? I've tried everything and it seems hopeless not only to me but others too. No one seems to be able to get these two to work together. HELP! Don't respond unless you know for sure the answer
Thanks

The Lexmark X73 is a piece of garbage. I did eventually get it to work
(printer only) on XP Pro from a network share on a Windows 2000 Pro machine.
Nothing but problems even when it does "work", it does not align printed
pages correctly, scanned pages are cut off for no apparent reason, misfeeds
paper, etc, etc the list goes on.
I've tried everything and it seems hopeless not only to me but others too.

Not for Lexmark, they got your $$$...

I have two of the x73's running perfectly fine on two XP boxes and a network
share on my laptop.
Don't use the drivers from the Lexmark site. Those caused me problems. Use
the ones on the CD that came with the printer and don't hook up the USB
cable to the computer until the installer asks for it. Uninstall the printer
and reinstall with the cd and it should work fine. If not post back with
exactly what it is doing and I'll try to help further.
