Downloaded the windows update. Now everytime I go into
Word 2000 and click on tools it generates this error.
"WINWORD.exe has generated an error and will be closed by
Windows. You will need to restart the program."

Tryed uninstalling and reloading office but no luck.
Can someone please help.

I've dealt with the same exact problem numerous occasions
now. There are 2 possible solutions. First, MS Word loads
a default template called normal.dot. Its possible this
file has become corrupt. Simply do a file search
for "normal.dot" , delete however many come up, and reboot
the machine. Upon re-loading it will re-create a "clean"
version of that file. Secondly, if that doesnt work, it is
possible that if it happens when you have a document open
the document may be corrupt, and simply copying and
pasting it to a new document and saving over the old one
will fix it. Sounds to me your problem deals with the
first solution though. Good luck.

3rg if your copy is pirated it may be disabled because the serial number is
public.
