winword.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows

every time I close Word or Excel using Windows 2000 I get
this error message? I have tried uninstalling and re-
installing and get the same problem. Does anyone know a
fix?

John I am so glad to hear that I am not the only person

who is having a problem with the office suite and this
Winword.exe error message. I have contacted Microsoft and
they don't have any answers for me. I hope we can find a
fix for this problem because it is driving me crazy. I
also am running windows 200 and to tell you the truth I
have already reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled the
whole windows 2000 program and the same problem exists.

I would hope you could drop me a line if you get some help
and I will do the same.
