winword.exe crashes when outlook 2002 opens

I have just done a fresh install of office xp with sp3. I open outlook and in
about 5 seconds I get a message that says microsoft word has encountered a
problem and needs to close.

Error signature
AppName: winword.exe AppVer: 10.0.6612.0 ModName: igxlui_l.dll
ModVer: 8.0.1.0 Offset: 000046f7

What could be the problem? is it possible to fix this?
 
do you have any add-ins for Outlook or Word installed? that isn't an Office
file. See if you can locate it and find its origin.
 
Hi,

It's a fresh install so I haven't added anything extra, the file
igxlui_l.dll comes from
C:\winnt\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3

I have no idea what this does but it is on every workstation.
