WINS Master browser

We need a WINS master browser in a domain that still has
down-level clients. I put in the IP address of a WINS
server on the PDCe server, rebooted the PDCe and it still
has not registered with the WINS server. Is there a way
to force it or enter manually? Will the down-level
clients see the PDCe as the master browser if we do force
it?

Have you installed WINS on the server? Did you also add options 044 and 046
(0x8) in DHCP-server, Scope options?

sorry for not being complete. No, WINS is not on the
PDCe. We just want it to be a client so that it will
register with the WINS server (a member server). So,
hopefully, the down level clients will see the PDCe.
