Every time my Agere modem goes on or off hook,
the whole 64-bit Vi$ta chokes and coughs. No
choking under 32-bit XP.

Is this normal? Or is it a bad driver? But then
I am using the driver provided by and downloaded
from M$....

Every time my Agere modem goes on or off hook,
Did you install a 64-bit driver for your 64-bit OS?
Does Agere have a 64-bit driver for the modem you're using?

Yes... the driver was pulled down by 64-bit Vi$ta...
