A program error pops up about every 40 seconds. It reads, "WinMgmt.exe has
generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the
program. An error log is being created." Then, I press okay, but that is
the only button I can press. Any info about this message or a possible
solution would be great. The error messages are driving me crazy! -Kim-

control panel > admin tools > event viewer.
Review the application & system logs. Look for errors. Right click the
error, left click properties. Note the eventID & details.

Research at http://www.eventid.net/ ,and / or your favorite search engines.

Or you could post here, again, but I'm the only person who has replied, in 3
days. You could also post at http://forums.techguy.org and / or
www.experts-exchange.com . You need to create accounts / register, which
you can do at no cost.

Also at your favorite search engines, search on: "winmgmt.exe" error

Best of success.

I figured it out! Do this:

Right-click ‘My Computer’ and choose ‘Manage’ to open the Computer
Management tool.
Click on ‘Services’ in the list in the left-hand pane and then select
‘Windows Management Instrumentation’ from the list in the right-hand pane.
There are two entries for ‘Windows Management Instrumentation’ . You need to
select the main one, not the ‘Driver Extensions’ entry.
With the correct Service highlighted, click on the ‘Stop’ link which will
appear to halt the Service.
With the Service halted, use ‘My Computer to locate the folders
\Windows\System32\Wbern\Repository and \Windows\System32\Wbern\Repository\FS.
Delete all files in those folders.
Reboot to allow the service to be restarted and the necessary files recreated.
