A high incidence of mail with attachments comes through with a
winmail.dat to other people. Specifically, an internet friend who has
AOL. But not just her, others, too.

My ISP does not support Outlook 2000, so I'm stuck.

How does one fix this pls?

Thank you so much!

Use plain text, not RTF, to compose your messages. If using Word as your
editor, try using Outlook editor instead.

I took the "send in RTF" default I had set off and put it to plain
text. I hate Word so have always used the O2K editor instead so that
wasn't a problem. No more troubles with winmail.dat.

Thank you!
