Winlogin in Xp Home

Hi,

I run Xp Home on a 3 year-old Dell. Often when
we "switch" users from the logoff menu item, multiple
Winlogin processes appear, one of which will consume
enormous amounts of CPU time (up to 50%) continuously.
What can be done about this?

Don't use the switch users feature. It sounds like your older PC is not
capable of handling it efficiently. Logoff completely before logging on
with a different account.
