wingames won't work

hi

i downloaded 'wingames' from the microsoft website, which
includes tetris, cruel, chess, freecell, etc.

when i try to open one of these games i get the following
error message...

16 bit Windows Subsystem

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not
suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows
applications. Choose 'Close' to termintate the
application.

please help

Hello, Len,
Chances are, if you're running XP, it's installed as NTFS not FAT32. FAT32
is the file system for Win95, 98, and Me. To check go to My Computer, open
it, right click on C: and look on that window to see. Normally NTFS and FAT32
will not clash, however, some software will cause a problem. Is the software
compatible with NTFS? (Check the computer requirements documentation)

yes, its all ntfs, the games were downloaded from
microsoft. they used to work, now i get the error message
