Winfax CD will not install

My Winfax Pro V 10.03 does not want to install on my PC. The PC has XP Pro
SP2 with 2GB RAM installed and all the updates have been installed. Nod32 is
the anti-virus package running.

I have disabled the anti virus software, I have tried running it from the CD
files copied on to my hard drive but nothing happens. When you hit the
install button nothing happens.

I have looked Task Manager and it shows the setup is the only thing running.

There is nothing wrong with the installation CD because it works on my
laptop.

Any help with getting it to install would be appreciated.

Thanx

This is not a Windows Fax issue, WinFax is a Symantec product and they are
responsible for supporting it, which they, for the most part, no longer do.
The last version of WinFax that actually worked with Windows XP was 9.
WinFax also has the unpleasant habit of altering the modem settings so that
Windows XP Fax won't work either. If you absolutely MUST use WInFax, you
need to contact Symantec for help. You might also want to check these folks
out:

Snappy Fax

RKSFax
http://www.rkssoftware.com/rksfax/overview.html

Both of these work with Windows XP and also work with Vista, should you
decide to upgrade (Windows Fax is NOT included with any of the home versions
of Vista).
