winfax and outlook keep crashing

I reloaded outlook 2003 and winfax 9.0, and now they keep crashing. They seem
to be linked (intergrated) and symatec has no support, and microsoft keeps
sending me to symantec. How can i remove the files which intergrate them?
There are instructions for winfax 10, but i really don't want to buy an
upgrade. the two applications were working fine for a long time.

No version of WinFax Pro is reliably compatible with Outlook 2003.

The most recent version is 10.3 and it is still far from totally compatible
with outlook
