Whenevfer I open windows explorer I need to click folders to get the folder
view of my drives. Is there a way to permanently keep the left pane open
when entering window explorer?
I have tried to open views, explorer bar, and check mark folders but this
doesnt retain the view for next session.
Skimmed through registry for user - software - microsoft - windows -
explorer but cant find anything pertinent...

Any ideas at all?

Thanx

Are you seeing the 'common tasks' bar and want to get rid of it? No
problemo. Just go to Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Performance -
Settings button > Visual Effects tab > remove the checkmark from 'Use common
tasks in folders'.

Thanx Ted that is definately a better solution.. works like a charm...
