Win XP Home SP2.

It has been several weeks since I have used Search to find a file. This
morning, I got the following error message which I have never seen before.

Microsoft Visual C++ - Runtime Library

Run Time Error!

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more
information.

I have restored the system to the earliest point I can and then restored
from an Acronis backup with the same result. I still get the message. It
seems to occur if I have minimized the Search Results but it may happen when
I don't minimize. The only thing I have left to do is to do a
Repair/Install but that would mean doing all the updates again. I will do
that if that is what it takes to fix the problem but I wonder if there is
something else I can do before I go to all that trouble.

Can someone help me here?

Thank you very much.

Thank you very much Elmo. There sure is a lot of information there but,
unfortunately, I could find nothing that relates to my problem.

Thanks again.
