WindowsXP won't shut down

Startup is OK...slow...but OK. But it won't shut down.
Goes to last words, "Windows is shutting down" but just
sits there. What have I done, or not done?
 
You have one program not shutting down. You'll have to shut down each item
before trying to shut down the system until you find the culprit.
