WindowsXP Prof. does not shut down

My PC restarts whenever I try to shut down windows. I have
tried all the changes that have been suggested in the
knowledge base.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks Chris,

I have tried this one already... it does not help and I do
not have Roxio installed on my PC.

Any other ideas??
