I have formatted my hard drive on an older computer and
am attempting to re-install WindowsXP. Immediately after
setup does the hardware inspection, it starts to load
files. During this process I get a "file PCMCIA.sys is
corrupted" message. Is this referring to an internal
problem with my PC or is the install disc itself corrupt?

Any help with this problem would be appreciated.

Thank-you.

I have occasiional gotten corupt file messages during
installs. What almost always fixes them is changing
memory or the CDRom drive. One of these 2 items is
usually the problem.
