WindowsXP Home edition OEM

Hi,I have found out my copy of WindowsXP I got from my vendor is not
genuine.I have seen WindowsXP OEM advertised for around $89 CAN.
An OEM product ,as I understand it,is a legal way of selling software,am I
correct?,or I will continue having problems to authenticate WindowsXP if I
buy this CD?
Thanks

Alberto

I have an OEM copy of WinXP pro ($130.00) and I authenticated it just fine.
They go on a new computer. You will usually have to buy a new hard disk
drive in order to buy it.

Sincerely,
Injam
