Windowsxp hang after true image restore

Daan

Hallo,
I changed my SATA disk in my PC with a larger one and restored
the windowsXP home image, i backup before, with Acronis True Image.
The PC boots OK, but just before the Welcome screen should appear
the PC hang with a light blue screen with Windowsxp in white letters and
windows logo.
I used the backup image before several times without problems.
Also anothe image, that could be restores before successfull, now gives
the same problem.
Has someone an idea whats going on and how to fix ??
Thanks Daan

48-bit LBA may not be enabled. Restore your image to a smaller
partition. See here for more:

Daan:
Why don't you try this?...

Instead of creating a disk image of your "old" SATA HDD and using that image
to restore to your new larger SATA HDD, why don't you perform a disk cloning
operation from the old HDD to the new one? See how that goes.

Just one cautionary note...

After you perform the disk cloning operation, make sure you disconnect your
old SATA HDD (the "source" disk) and boot *only* with the new HDD (the
"destination" disk) connected.
