Outlook Exp uses the spell checker in word/office do you have it installed

OE has an inbuilt spell checker. When you create a new message, click on
Tools, choose SPelling [or F7].

If you don't get any of this, then try reinstalling OE.

I think that spell check is only there if you have Word, Works, or
WordPerfect installed since it uses the other programs' spelling dictionary.

1) No it does not. It requires a Office grade product to be installed
(vanilla Works does not qualify).
2) You cannot reinstall OE (TTBOMK) without reinstalling Windows (though
I'm prepared to be corrected) as it's an integral part of the OS.

Heres one that works with Outlook Express and can spell check in 16
languages (tis not free):

.. Here is another that is free and works well [I use it}:

Sorry, you are wrong. Outlook Express has not built in Spell Checker. Rather
it borrows from Word IF you have such installed.

Prepare to be wrong:

"How to Reinstall or Repair Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows XP"
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=318378

As you typically have little problem telling others to search, you avoid using this handy tool whilst making shìt claims. If you had simply spent just a few extra moments searching, you wouldn't have bursted blood vessels around that 400cc brain of yours, guessing whether or not you're wrong again!
