I have configured my Windows Xp client to pull updates from WSUS server.
The updates pull down and I would like to know how to install any of the
updates automatically before rebooting . I noticed doing the task manually
when I initaiate the shutdown/restart there is an option to "Install Updates
and restart".

I am using the typlicall ShutDown.exe to reboot my XP clients. Is there a
way to install updates and restart automatically?

Probably, but you should post in microsoft.public.softwareupdatesvcs for
more specific help, I believe.

To ad to Lanwench's response. Here is a list of MS public newsgroups.
There is also one for windows update which is the one to use for systems not
using SUS.

Go into the Automatic Update control panel and select "Automatically
download and install updates." For best results, you might want to pick a
time to install those for a time that the machine is on but nobody is using
it while you're in that control panel.
