WindowsMedia-Help! How to disable

How can I get rid of the annoying windows player that pops
up on a the left side a webpage. What I don't like it
about this new thing is its inability to FWD or RWD what
is being played. It used to go to through the Media
Player or open up a new window to play the media, but that
no longer happens. For instance, on NPR website a
different window would pop allowing me to FWD or RWD what
I wanted to hear.

There used to be an option popped up that asked
to "remember" a choice (or something like that) but I must
have mistakenly hit something to where it now does not
come up.

Help! I have tried to go through the technical help on
Microsoft but to no avail. Thanks in advance.

How can I get rid of the annoying windows player that pops
Click on the options (bottom left by the triangle-arrow/play button).
Untick the first 2 options.
Click on the third and click yes in the new window.
