Windows2000nt login at start-up

Hi everyone I realy hope you can help? well trying to
help a friend of mine get her windows restarted, but the
problem is the user password at start up has been
forgotten, is there any other way to bypas & reset it
without having to rewrite the hard drive & starting over?
