windows2000 login

Dear All,
Hi I have a back officesrvr using windows2000, and 30
client, my client are login in to their pc and through
network place they are getting server resources. Is it a
correct way to get the server resources. Why don't clients
directly log in to the server and get the resources.
Server Active Directory shows clients Correct Computer
Name and User Name, but still they are log in to their
local pc instead of server is it correct?
pls help

if you have domain controller, the clients should logon domain.
