How do I stop the continual asking for approval to proceed with the command
in Vista

I only ever get the prompt when I open Event Log or start Visual Studio.
On a day to day basis that is, obviously installing software and
changing system settings requires a prompt.

When do the prompts occur ?

Do you want to just jack in all the security? In which case turn off
user account control (Google "turn off user account control"). A bit
like leaving your house unlocked because you can't be arsed to keep
locking and unlocking it, but fair enough if you know what you're doing

I'd recommend you leave it on, and sort our whatever it is that keeps
asking you (Java, Adobe Flash and others do this sometimes). if you have
any extra info please bring it to us.
