windows XP

Is there someone out there that can tell me how I can
open up my information cd roms in windows XP? I put data
on the cd from Microsoft works 4,5 in windows 98. Now
that I have installed windows XP, I can't get info off of
my cd roms. I cant even open the cd rom uncer my computer?

Do you have works installed on this machine? Can you open other CD's + see
the files or info?
