when i start up my computer XP loads and runs well after a
few minutes it starts to slow down and will not perform
any tasks you have to reboot the system and start again
and then the same problem occurs i am running with 256mb
ram 1,8ghz processor 15GB hard drive.

can you help the machine is only 2months old.
 
It could be that your CPU is heating up check and make
sure the fan on the CPU is running
