Windows XP

I've loaded windows XP onto my Sony Vaio laptop, it had ME
on it. The problem is that XP does not recognize the modem
inside the computer. Can anyone help? I've got the driver
but the modem just doesn't seem to be there. PLEASE HELP,
it's driving me crazy!!

Go to the Sony website. They have instructions there for upgrading to XP,
and the new drivers required.
