Michael

I have windows XP. But when I try to get connected using
the wizard. The dailup connection is grayed out and can't
be highlighted. What can this be. I've also used the
admin. tools and tried to start and got an error 5 access
denied. but I'm the only one on this system as admin. I
also got an error 711 when trying to use the wizard. If
you can help please email me. I'm on my dauthers system.

Hi Michael,

Dial-Up Modem or PPPoE is Unavailable (Line 87)

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.

Standard Checkpoints:

Go to Start/Administrative Tools/Services. Set these three to "Automatic":

Remote Access Connection Manager, Remote Access Auto Connection Manager,
Telephony.

Unless you are sure of what you're doing don't attempt to edit the registry.
