Windows XP won't load

J

J Bompas

Running XP sp1.
On boot-up I get as far as the Win XP logo and then after 3 or 4 seconds it
re-boots, over and over again.
I put the XP setup disk in to see if I could repair the installation. It
gets as far as the Setup screen: Enter to install, R for repair etc and then
the computer just hangs.
I've put a Linux disk in the CD drive and a Linux prog. can read the hard
drive, so I'm assuming the hard drive is physically OK.
Any ideas?
TIA, John
