I have a problem with Explorer in that if I right mouse click on a file name,
or press the delete key to delete the file, the program hangs for about 90
seconds or more.

Thanks for the reply Rock,

I am not sure what a spysweeper is, but I have Nortons Antivirus and
Nortons Internet Security. I have tried disabling Nortons Internet Security
but with no success.

Ok if you don't know what spysweeper is then you don't have it
installed, most likely. I don't know what else to offer, other than
right click problems can often times be associated with misbehaving
right click context menu items (handlers).

Try this. Download a shell extension viewer called shexview.zip. You
can get it here: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/shellexview.html

Once run it will generate a list of shell extensions. Sort the list by
Type by clicking on the Type heading. This will alphabetize the list.
Look down at the grouping of with a type of "Context Menu". Disable
each non Microsoft context menu item one at a time and see if one of
these might be the problem.

Good luck.

If the shell extension aspect doesn't come up with any thing try some
clean boot troubleshooting:
