Windows XP will Not Erase DVD-RW Discs

Help please!
I have used "Click to DVD" Software that came with my Sony Desktop to
create DVD based videos.
However I cannot get my Windows XP OS to erase these same DVD-RW discs.
When I try, I get a dialog box that states that the Disc is either full or
of the wrong type and cannot be erased. My R/W DVD burner is a Pioneer
DVD-RW Model DVR-107D.

How are you trying to erase them -- from within XP rather than the DVD
software? XP cannot write or erase DVD disks by itself. 3rd party
software is needed to do that.

That is what I thought that you were going to say; but in answer to your
question, I have tried using Click to DVD, other Sony related software and
also Windows XP HE. I was really hoping that someone may have had similar
problems and would be able to recommend software that would allow me to
erase the DVD-RW discs. Thanks

XP's own CD burning software does not deal in DVDs - you will need to
use that Sony software to do the job
