Windows XP will not boot without CD Rom

I downloaded McAfee and my system froze. After many trials and errors, I
finally reloaded the system from a "Software CD-Rom" that I received when I
purchased my computer. I was then able to access menus, but the programs
would not run. I was able to access Tech in a Box and Restore to Original
Factory Settings. Now, the only way my system will boot when I turn it on,
is if I insert the CD Rom. It's possible that I left the CD in when the
system rebooted after it restored to the Original Factory Settings. Can
anyone tell me how to get Windows to reboot without using the CD (other than
starting all over again??) Thank you--
Dee
