Windows XP welcome screen

I can't get rid of a message that says '6 emails unread'
against one of the users. But there are NO unread emails
for that address.

???? Anyone know how I can clear this?

Download TweakUI for Windows XP and goto Repair Unread Mail Screen.

My theory:-

this user has a Hotmail account linked to XP through MS messenger.

Login to the desktop, login to the Hotmail account, read the emails and
presto the message will be gone.....only of course to return when new
messages land in their hotmail inbox.

Thanks I will try this. My niece opened some hotmail in
my daughter's area and this has been coming up since.
There are no unread mails in her account.

be no unread emails in the hotmail account...

TweakUI was the answer...thank you..it was driving me
