Windows XP vs Printer

Recently I purchased a new computer with Windows XP
installed. My old printer, Epson Dot Matrix Action
Printer 5000+ (Epson LQ-570e ESC/P2) prints perfectly
except that now the figures @EJL 1284.4 appear in the top
left corner of every first page. Why? And how can I get
rid of them? Any suggestions?

I had that problem with HP, Hp gave me a work-around.
write Epson and discribe the issue and they will give you
a set of instructions.
