Windows XP VPN Client Routing problem

F

Franz

I have a LAN at home and a router for ADSL connection to internet.

The same connection is used for with the VPN Client from WinXP access
to my Company.

The router is my default gateway 192.168.4.3
The Company Network 192.168.5.X

When my Company VPN is ON and I try to use internet explorer, the http
packets goes trough Company VPN

This of course is very slow.

If VPN is OFF the internet surfing is very fast, because the HTTP
packets goes directly to internet from my router.

I know that there is the ROUTE command on Windows to configure the
routing, but I don't know how to use it.

In the VPN connection Advanced settings, there is a option, "Use default
gateway on remote...", which will take control of all network communications.
If you turn this off, then the HTTP requests will go out over your gateway's
Internet address, instead of your company's network.

I don't found this option in the Advanced settings Page "Use default
gateway on remote...". My Computer in WindowsXP sp2.

In the Advanced settings i can only config the Firewall and to Share
the VPN Connection with other Computer in my LAN (but this option is
disable).
