Windows XP very slow start up (>2 min.)

Hello people.

I've got a problem. My system takes much time to start up.
Analysing the problem with bootvis says me that
redbook.sys is responsable of this (driver) delay. It
takes approx. 50 sec. to start up redbook.sys.

I don't know where redbook.sys is used for and more
important how i can fix the problem.

Many thanks
Moi

redbook.sys is a windows file responsible for playing
audio CDs. If it takes so long to load I am guessing that
maybe windows is having trouble with your cd-drive? Try
swapping the cd-drive and see if it helps, if so it's the
drive. otherwise do you have any other cd software
installed, like cd-writing or anything.
