What is the difference in buying the Windows XP Home
Edition and not the Upgrade? I have Millenium will the
Upgrade work?

Hi Angie,

The Upgrade version is all you need for a WinME system. You can use either
Home or Pro.

You are I think mixing two matters.

XP is at two levels - Home Edition, and Pro, which has extra facilities
mainly aimed at corporate use. For an upgrade of ME Home would probably
be all you need (apart from the extras the two are identical), but see

The you can get an Upgrade CD or a Full one. An Upgrade differs only in
that it will check to make sure that you own a 'qualifying product', and
your ME will do nicely. You do not need a Full CD. Home Upgrade seems
appropriate. Read Gary Woodruff's article on upgrading to XP at
