windows xp sucks

My computer has gotten to the point where i cant shut it down, restart, or log off.... there are constant errors in ie, as well as many other programs. I dont have a virus or its one that my scan doesnt pick up. Someone please help. Im tired of having things stop working.

You could do a clean install of XP.

Go to start,Help & Support, System Restore and follow the directions.
