Windows XP startup

Recently I have noticed that when windos xp starts up, it opens the
c://windows folder every time. I have checked in my start up folder and its
not there so why is this happening and how can i get rid of this problem.?

Start - Run - MSConfig.exe
Look on the Startup page, Command column, for any line where the content
is blank or could not be a file because it starts with an illegal
character. Common example is one that has just /L:EN put there by
Audigy sound drivers. Uncheck any such line. Exit - do not bother to
reboot, but next time you do there will be a message about 'System
Configuration'. Check the 'Do not show again' box and exit
