Windows XP Start-up

Jim

For the last couple months when I start-up Windows XP I
get three error messages while windows is coming up - all
three are the same - Invalid Backweb application
id"137903". It doesn't stop me from running windows - but
I do have to click off each one as they come up.
Any answers out there?

BackWeb is auto-update software used by companies such as LogiTech, Compaq,
HP, McAfee and others. The home Web site is www.backweb.com/
Some of its functionality borders on "spyware" and that is why anti-spyware
programs disable it. You don't need BackWeb. If it is in Add/Remove
programs, remove it. If it is not there, it may only be uninstallable by
rerunning the setup for the program that installed it.

It is probably better just to go to Start, click Run and type in: msconfig
and click Enter. Click the Startup tab and look for BackWeb, uncheck it,
click Apply, OK and restart.
