Mary Anne Stringer

When I start my computer for the first time each day, I
get a black screen with a lot of white letters on it, a
full page saying that Windows is sorry but had a problem
shutting down due to hardware problem, or not shutting
down properly or power surge or ...well it goes on and
on. Further down the page it says to use my arrow keys
to select how to start windows...one says return to
configuration settings that were running properly before
problem started and then the other one says start Windows
normally. After I play with those a few times I finally
get Windows to start. For the rest of the day, I can
turn my computer on and off with no problem. Then I turn
it off and go to bed and then the next day when I turn it
on the same problem comes back. Can someone help me with
this please?

Hi!Mary!
What happens if you start your computer in safe mode?
Check your graphic card;it may be faulty.

What do you mean by "play with those"?

Please be a bit more specific! What do you actually do? What mode do you
finally get into Windows with?
