Windows XP Splash Screen

When I start my system and it displays the Windows XP Splash Screen where
there blue bar at the bottom goes back and forth it appears to be to the
left and not centered, I can not change it and move it more to the right as
my monitor is connected to DVI and those up/down/left and right settings are
greyed out

When the splash screen appears, turn away, close you eyes and think of fuzzy
kittens playing with balls of wool for twenty seconds or so, then turn back
to the screen, and you will be greeted with your login/desktop

If that is unsatisfactory, you will need to replace the entire video
system with an analog system that will allow the centering of 640x480
input.
