I downloaded WXP SP2 and want to burn the .exe to CD. Nero prompts me to
make a .nrg image file. Why? How to I just burn the file to a CD?

You have to select the type of recorder you are using to burn your CD

Just like making any regular ISO CD in Nero. It is just a file
