Marvin the Paranoid Android
Greetings, one and all!
We're anticipating some problems with the fact that the XP SP2 restricts
activity to the local subnet only. I've opened a hole for file sharing on a
test machine and can get to it just fine from other boxes on its subnet
but, as Microsoft says in their documentation, machines on other subnets
are refused. There has to be a way around this but I'm too dense to figure
it out on my own. Does anybody out there know how to open it up so that the
allow applies to all sources? It's probably a netsh command but I can't
figure out what it might be.
Thanks for the help. Enjoy your weekend!
