Anybody have experience with "nLite"?
Slipstreams the service pack into Windows XP.
Allows for configuring a bunch of Windows options.
Allows for removing some defaultly installed Windows
programs.
Apparently it saves most of your/its configuration file.
I don't believe it does everything it says it does, that would be
a trick, but it certainly is interesting. It does quite a bit. It
even erases and then burns its product to your Windows XP boot
installation (rewritable) CD.
I've an nLited XP Pro that has SP3 slipstreamed into it (I can't now
remember the order of SPs, but I didn't do SP3 directly), OE and WMP taken
out and a few other things.
When I get to trying it, I have the same as above and with the added benefit
of not having IE! It does run but I don't yet know what doesn't work as I
had to dismantle the set-up due to people staying here. After 3 years
perhaps it's time to have another go...
