Windows XP shuts off my desktop and goes to prompt screen with other desktops

How can I stop Windows xp from shutting off my desktop
and going back to prompt screen where all the other
desktops are...this is a pain...because then I have to
sign in again...pls help..

You could check power options in the control panel to see if your system is
going into system standby and in the advanced tab check to see if prompt for
password when computer resumes from standby is checked. Hope that helps.

Right click on the desktop select properties, and Screen
saver on the tab, Uncheck on resume, password protect.
